3. Title: Demystifying artificial intelligence and making the most of it

 

4. Abstract: In this talk, I will first discuss the potential impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) to the society compared to those made by revolutionary technologies in the past, and argue where and how one could make the most of it to solve his/her problems given its capabilities and limitations of today. I will then introduce some of the research efforts being made to develop and apply AI technologies toward the goal of most effectively using them in human-centered areas, instead of simply replacing human labors.
